Global Alliance of Traditional Health Systems was inaugurated on 23rd February 2011 by Sri K.B.Ganapathy, Chief Editor, Star of Mysore, Mysore presided by Dr.Gundu H.R.Rao, Professor, Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Lillehei Heart Institute, University of Minnesota USA.

The objective of the Society is to bring all the health systems on to a common platform and to develop an easily accessible, acceptable and relatively affordable health and wellness system.  The society will emphasize on the health systems being complimentary to each other instead of competing.  It also works to protect and preserve the interest of the traditional health systems and healers.  Dr.Gundu H.R.Rao, Dr.B.R.Pai, Dr.Poornima K.Murthy and Dr.N.V.Krishnamurthy are the promoters of this Society.
